About Animals at Home (West Dorset) Ltd.
In November, 2003 I made my long awaited move to the depths of the Dorset countryside. Having lived and worked in the Southsea area for some 20 years, there has not been one regret. I left my very last office job approx 14 months ago and vowed never to go back into that environment!
Having kept domestic animals all of my life, the obvious way to go was caring for animals. I was fortunate to meet Denis Chirgwin of Animals at Home and the seed was sown.
Animals at Home (West Dorset) was started in January this year and to say it has been life changing is an understatement. I have been extremely lucky to have a variety of clients - smallholdings, a free range chicken farm, some stable work, pet taxis, also many domestic animals to care for. I recently transported two Mountain Pyrenean dogs and eight cats to Birmingham as the owners were moving. I am now in the fortunate position of being recommended by a local Boarding Kennels and Veterinary Practice.
The one thing about this wonderful occupation, is that the real client is always pleased to see me and that is the reward at the end of the day
